Education to Employment - Surgical Technologist - Current Students Only

About the role

Surgical Technologist students are needed to commit to serving with Essentia Health in the operating room at Essentia Health Fargo on 32nd Avenue in Fargo, North Dakota. This position works 40 hours weekly, with on-call rotations for overnights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts are from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. Selected applicants will receive a paid education benefit in exchange for serving at Essentia Health for a contracted period of 2 years upon graduation.

Responsibilities

• Functions under the supervision of an RN in providing technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages.
• Responsible for tasks relating to instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the department.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified as a Surgical Technologist is required one year after hire.
• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire.
• Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) with the North Dakota Board of Nursing upon hire.
