Education to Employment - Surgical Technologist - Current Students Only

About the role

Surgical Technologist students are needed to commit to serving with Essentia Health in the operating room at St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth, Minnesota. Selected applicants will receive a paid education benefit upon graduation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages.
• Manage instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Work 36 hours weekly, including every fourth weekend and a holiday rotation.
• Shifts are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, and 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. Four night shifts are required every four weeks.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required within one year after hire.
