Job Summary
You will contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of essential healthcare-related educational and training programs. Your responsibilities include scheduling and conducting diverse healthcare training programs, providing direct coordination and/or instruction in educational initiatives, and ensuring effective learning experiences for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduling and conducting healthcare training programs.
- Provide direct coordination and/or instruction in various educational initiatives.
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary colleagues to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate strategies to address complex patient care issues.
- Assist staff with clinical decision-making and priority setting.
- Maintain and integrate current evidenced-based knowledge into educational programming.
- Educator
- Develop and implement 504 plans for students with disabilities.
- Ensure students with disabilities have access to appropriate accommodations and modifications in the classroom and other school settings.
- Monitor the progress of students with disabilities and make adjustments to their 504 plans as needed.
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other school staff about the needs of students with disabilities.
- Advocate for the rights of students with disabilities and ensure they are not discriminated against.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to the education of students with disabilities.
- Coordinate orientation of newly hired employees to the organization.
- Plan, prepare, and maintain materials for use in competency-based educational programs.
- Plan and coordinate in-services, orientation, and educational programs for clinical staff to meet competency requirements in accordance with departmental objectives and appropriate accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with RN Educator Is and IIs across the system to develop learning needs assessments for clinical staff and programs and competency strategies to address identified learning needs.
- Incorporate principles of adult learning in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education and competency programs.
- Communicate effectively in visual, oral, and written form and demonstrate effective presentation skills.
- Facilitate initial provider and renewal courses for ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS (as applicable), including HeartCode administration.
- Conduct a variety of in-service, orientation, and educational programs for clinical staff to meet competency assessment requirements in accordance with departmental objectives and accreditation standards, including but not limited to: Orientation; Initial and Ongoing Competencies; Core Curriculum; Required Certification Courses, Professional Development Program and Preceptor/Mentor Programs.

- Required High School Graduate or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years in applicable role, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
- Preferred Certified Nursing Assistant: KY, upon hire or Emergency Medical Technician: KY, upon hire or Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic: KY, upon hire.
