Education and Workforce Development Project Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of workforce development and economic development programs and initiatives.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for program partners, sub-awardees, and stakeholders, assisting with onboarding, contracting, documentation, and ongoing communications.
  • Cook up meetings, workshops, training sessions, and events, including scheduling, agendas, presentations, meeting materials, and meeting summaries.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, records, dashboards, and shared resources to support program operations and compliance requirements.
  • Collect, organize, and track project data, performance metrics, deliverables, and program outcomes.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for leadership, funding agencies, and external stakeholders.
  • Support communication and collaboration among internal teams, partners, funders, educational institutions, and community organizations.
  • Maintain project databases, trackers, and website content to ensure information remains accurate, current, and accessible.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for educational programming, visitor experiences, workshops, and Learning Lab activities.
  • Support the administration of ARM's Endorsement Program, including applications, renewals, audits, reporting, and participant communications.
  • Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives that support ARM Institute's workforce development strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Administration, Business, Workforce Development, or a related field required. An associate degree and/or equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of one year of experience supporting project coordination, program administration, education, workforce development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as common project tracking and collaboration tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% as needed for meetings, events, and program support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federally funded grants, workforce development, education, or nonprofit programs.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, workshops, or educational programming.
  • Familiarity with project management software, CRM systems, or grant management tools.
  • Experience working with Manufacturing USA® institutes, higher education institutions, government agencies, or manufacturing organizations.
  • Interest in advanced manufacturing, robotics, workforce development, or STEM education.
