About the role
Easterseals PORT Health is a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia seeking an Education and Outreach Specialist to join the One Community team in the Eastern Region of the Trillium service area.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the eastern Trillium counties in North Carolina.
- Attends community events including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to accommodate community events outside of standard business hours.
- Community-based position requiring residency in New Hanover or Brunswick County.
- Must be comfortable traveling to specified counties: Jones, Carteret, Duplin, Sampson, Onslow, Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, Robeson, Hoke, Scotland and others as needed.
- Management preference: Experience with the unhomed population and/or community-based experience.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Maintain valid NC driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.
Qualifications
- Working relationships with community referrals.
- Able to manage multiple projects.
- Great attention to detail.
Skills
- Experience with the unhomed population preferred.
- Community-based experience preferred.

Pay
The hourly rate is $18.
