Education and Outreach Specialist

About the role

The Education and Outreach Specialist serves as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the southern Trillium counties on the East coast of North Carolina. This is a community-based position and candidates must reside in New Hanover County. You must be willing to travel within all regional counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the team by attending community events that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility is essential to accommodate community events outside of standard business hours.
• Help connect individuals to vital resources.
• Advance the shared goal of helping people reach their full potential.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid NC driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.

Qualifications

• Experience with the unhomed population and/or community-based experience preferred.

Skills

• Working relationships with community referrals.
• The ability to manage multiple projects.
• Great attention to detail.

Pay

An hourly rate of $18.
