Education and Outreach Specialist

About the role

The Education and Outreach Specialist serves as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the southern Trillium counties on the East coast of North Carolina. The role supports the team by attending community events that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is essential to accommodate community events outside of standard business hours. This is a community-based position and candidates must reside in Brunswick County.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the team by attending community events that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attend community events in the following Trillium counties: Craven, Jones, Carteret, Sampson, Duplin, Onslow, Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, Robeson, Hoke, and Scotland.
• Work with community referrals to provide education and outreach services.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining great attention to detail.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Maintain valid NC driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.

Qualifications

• Experience with the unhomed population and/or community-based experience is preferred.

Pay

$18 per hour.

Schedule

This is a community-based position with a fluctuating work schedule. Candidates must be available to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
