Education and Outreach Specialist

About the role

The Education and Outreach Specialist serves as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the eastern Trillium counties in North Carolina. This is a community-based position, and candidates must reside in New Hanover or Brunswick County. Candidates must be comfortable traveling to the following counties: Jones, Carteret, Duplin, Sampson, Onslow, Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, Robeson, Hoke, Scotland and other counties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education
• Attend community events that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Provide support to the team by attending community events outside of standard business hours
• Flexibility is essential to accommodate community events outside of standard business hours

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Maintain valid NC driver's license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work

Qualifications

• Experience with the unhomed population and/or community-based experience preferred

Skills

• Working relationships with community referrals
• Able to manage multiple projects
• Great attention to detail

Pay

$18 per hour
