Education and Outreach Specialist

About the Role

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Education and Outreach Specialist to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary One Community team in the Eastern Region of the Trillium service area designed to increase access to care, health literacy, health awareness, and education.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the eastern Trillium counties in North Carolina
• Provide support to the team by attending community events that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Work a fluctuating schedule (changes weekly) that includes evenings, mornings, and weekends
• Travel to multiple counties each week including but not limited to: Craven, Jones, Carteret, Duplin, Sampson, Onslow, Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, Robeson, Hoke, and Scotland

Requirements

• Must reside in Columbus, Bladen, or Robeson County
• High School diploma or GED required
• Maintain valid NC driver's license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
• Comfortable traveling to the listed counties
• Flexibility to accommodate community events outside of standard business hours
• Working relationships with community referrals
• Ability to manage multiple projects with great attention to detail

Qualifications

• Community-based experience is a plus (management preference)

Pay

$18 per hour, with mileage reimbursement in addition to hourly pay.
