Education and Outreach Specialist
About the role
The Education and Outreach Specialist serves as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the southern Trillium counties on the East coast of North Carolina. The Education and Outreach Specialist provides support to the team by attending community events that may include evenings, weekends and holidays. Flexibility is essential to accommodate community events outside of standard business hours. This is a community-based position and candidates must reside in Brunswick County. You must be comfortable traveling to the following Trillium counties: Craven, Jones, Carteret, Sampson, Duplin, Onslow, Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, Robeson, Hoke, and Scotland counties. Applicant must reside in Brunswick County.
Responsibilities
- Attend community events to provide outreach and education
- Support the team by attending community events that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Flexibility to accommodate community events outside of standard business hours
- Travel to the following Trillium counties: Craven, Jones, Carteret, Sampson, Duplin, Onslow, Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, Robeson, Hoke, and Scotland counties
- Must be comfortable traveling to the specified counties
- Must reside in Brunswick County
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Maintain valid NC driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
Qualifications
- Experience with the unhomed population and/or community-based experience preferred
Skills
- Working relationships with community referrals
- Able to manage multiple projects
- Great attention to detail

Pay
Earn an hourly rate of $18
Schedule
This position has a fluctuating work schedule. You must be able to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Management Preference
