About the role

Staff must reside in Columbus, Bladen, or Robeson County. The Education and Outreach Specialist serves as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the eastern Trillium counties in North Carolina. The position is community-based and requires attendance at community events that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is essential to accommodate events outside of standard business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Attend community events across multiple counties, including but not limited to Craven, Jones, Carteret, Duplin, Sampson, Onslow, Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, Robeson, Hoke, and Scotland.
  • Travel to multiple counties each week with a fluctuating schedule that includes evenings, mornings, and weekends.
  • Provide support to the team by engaging with community members and providers.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with community referrals and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.
