EDM Library & Design Solution Architect

About the role

You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team developing design methodologies to exploit and expand the use of Siemens EDA Xpedition products. The role involves consulting and presenting to customers to demonstrate how the Siemens EDA Xpedition tool suite can maximize the performance of leading-edge technologies in their designs. You will identify gaps in customers' design flows and propose solutions to enhance their design capabilities while improving efficiency to meet Time-To-Market (TTM) goals with high quality.

This position offers the opportunity to grow into a technical leadership role, potentially guiding new recruits in support of the overall System Practice. You will also liaison with our EBS product division, particularly in advanced development, customizations, and maintenance of CLS-generated applications used in advanced processes by our customer base.

Responsibilities

• Develop design methodologies for Siemens EDA Xpedition products.
• Consult with customers to articulate the benefits of the Siemens EDA Xpedition tool suite.
• Identify gaps in customer design flows and propose improvements to increase design capability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the EBS product division on advanced development, customizations, and maintenance of applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor new team members.

Requirements

• BS degree with a strong engineering background (MS preferred).
• Strong knowledge in PCB hardware development methodology.
• Strong knowledge in software development.
• Experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBScript).
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in EDM design & library methodology, tools, and design flow.
• Ability to understand and accommodate customer IT architectures and databases.
