Our work spans highly complex, global matters as well as deeply personal issues that shape the lives of individuals and communities.

About the role

Reporting to the Director of EDiscovery, the EDiscovery Specialist will be a key technical support partner on complex litigation and investigation matters, helping the EDiscovery team turn large volumes of data into organized, usable, and defensible work product. In this hands-on role, you’ll support the full matter lifecycle—from data intake and processing through review support, troubleshooting, and production—while working closely with an internal team of experienced project managers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with sophisticated database management tools, and making a visible impact on high-stakes client work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project management team with receipt of client data, confirming data integrity, and maintaining accurate chain-of-custody records.
  • Prepare matter data for review by processing, converting, and loading information into Relativity, Everchron, and other litigation support platforms.
  • Help keep review environments running smoothly by supporting database administration tasks such as workspace creation, user access, tag updates, archiving, and related maintenance.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues that arise after processing, during review, or as productions are being prepared.
  • Create high-quality deliverables for legal teams, including PDF, native, image, and data table exports.
  • Work with project managers to maintain accurate collection, processing, and production information in QuickBase, the team’s project management platform.
  • Contribute to team innovation and continuous improvement through software evaluations, process development, testing, and internal training.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent hands-on technical experience will also be considered.
  • At least three years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, database administration, or a related technical discipline. Experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or practice technology is preferred, but transferable technical experience is welcome.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to quickly learn new software, tools, and technologies.
  • Strong technical curiosity and analytical judgment, with the ability to work accurately and confidently with large, complex data sets.
  • A practical, solutions-oriented approach to diagnosing root causes and troubleshooting technical issues with minimal supervision.
  • A proactive, self-motivated work style and the confidence to take ownership of tasks while knowing when to ask thoughtful questions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, scripting, or other data-focused tools is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and common eDiscovery workflows—including preservation, collection, processing, review, and production—is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with eDiscovery or litigation support platforms such as Relativity, Concordance, Opus2, Case Notebook, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of eDiscovery analytics and AI-assisted review technology in Relativity is preferred.
  • Flexibility and composure under pressure, including availability after hours as needed for time-sensitive technical issues or deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple technical tasks and shifting priorities.
