About the Opportunity:The ECS REPRESENTATIVE role is designed to manage communications and facilitate admissions between the organization and various healthcare referral sources. This position is pivotal in ensuring timely access to behavioral health services by handling inquiries, screening needs, and coordinating admissions. The role contributes directly to patient intake efficiency and supports continuity of care through collaboration with clinical and community partners. Responsibilities:Respond to incoming calls, faxes, and emails from hospitals, detox centers, psychiatric hospitals, and physician officesConduct telephone screenings to assess behavioral health needs and appropriate level of careCollect and verify demographic, insurance, medical, psychiatric, and substance use detailsExplain behavioral health programs, services, and admission proceduresVerify insurance eligibility and arrange financial detailsCoordinate admissions with treatment facilitiesSchedule assessments, intake appointments, and admissionsCollaborate with case managers, social workers, and referral sources to maintain care continuityTrack referrals, admissions, and follow-up to ensure timely placement and communicationMaintain accurate and confidential patient records in electronic health record systemsEnsure compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and regulatory standards Requirements:High School Diploma or GED; college education is beneficialPreferred two years' experience in behavioral health admissions or customer serviceKnowledge of chemical dependency preferredEffective communication skills and ability to interact professionallyReliable transportation and valid state driver’s license with a safe driving recordAbility to function under stressful situations and maintain regular attendanceVisual acuity of 20/40 corrected vision and adequate hearing (hearing aid accepted)Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers, managers, clients, and prospective clientsIf in recovery, two years of continuous verifiable sobriety Pay Range and Compensation Package:The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
