About the role
The Director of eCommerce is responsible for the day‑to‑day management, execution, and optimization of the Retrofête and Seroya Shopify websites. Reporting to the SVP, Marketing & Digital, this role ensures both digital storefronts deliver best‑in‑class customer experience while supporting the company’s commercial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Own day‑to‑day management of the Retrofête and Seroya Shopify websites, ensuring accurate and timely content, collections, promotions, navigation, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
- Maintain site accuracy, including product information, pricing, imagery, promotional messaging, and content updates; oversee homepage, landing pages, and overall website presentation for a seamless shopping experience.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the customer journey across desktop and mobile, and conceptualize content‑driven pages such as brand storytelling, campaign, and shoppable editorial experiences.
- Serve as primary business owner for the Shopify Plus platform, staying current on platform features, apps, and integrations; partner with third‑party vendors for enhancements, integrations, and issue resolution.
- Oversee quality‑assurance testing for new functionality, website updates, and promotional launches; assess new technologies, tools, and platforms for fit, ROI, and feasibility.
- Monitor website performance and usability, prioritize enhancement requests, and manage platform optimization initiatives, including leveraging emerging AI technologies.
- Develop and maintain recurring business reports and dashboards; analyze key eCommerce metrics (revenue, conversion rate, average order value, sessions, bounce rate, revenue per visitor) to make data‑driven recommendations.
- Collaborate with Digital Merchandising, Marketing & Digital, Art, and Planning & Operations teams to ensure accurate product, collection, and content execution, support campaigns, and coordinate product launches.
- Lead, coach, and develop two direct reports, establishing priorities, workflows, and best practices; manage multiple projects simultaneously while fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of progressive eCommerce experience, preferably within fashion, luxury, or consumer brands.
- Hands‑on experience managing Shopify Plus websites.
- Strong understanding of website operations, content management, and eCommerce best practices.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, and website reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project‑management skills.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
- Experience leading and developing direct reports.
- Curiosity for emerging technologies, including AI, and a passion for leveraging innovation to enhance the digital customer experience.
