Echocardiography Technologist - Per Diem

Job Duties

• Performs and processes echocardiographic examinations including two-dimensional, three dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures and exercise techniques.
• Performs emergency procedures when necessary; transports equipment and patients.
• Affords assistance with special procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
• Analyzes and files echocardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems.
• Affords assistance in developing and maintaining internal training programs and in technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.
• Affords assistance in approved research activities.
• Performs mobile Echo service as directed.
• Interprets and follows policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.

Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program- (Required)

Experience

Minimum of 2 years-Relevant experience* (Required)

Certification(s) and License(s)

• Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification required within 6 months of hire - Default Issuing Body
• Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
• Certified Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 6 months of hire - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
