Echocardiograph Technician (Per Diem)

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac ultrasound testing; selects and operates equipment as directed.
• Demonstrates competence in performing Echo, Doppler, Color flow, Stress Echo and electrocardiograms.
• Interacts with patients, answering inquiries and explaining examination details.
• Maintains patient information and examination records accurately and confidentially.
• Performs maintenance on equipment before and after use to keep it operating as intended.
• Cleans, disinfects and maintains equipment after each patient use.
• Performs preliminary exam findings to the cardiologist to aid in the interpretation of the study.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular program.
• Experience: 1-2 years experience in a similar clinical setting.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid ARDMS: RDCS Adult Echo. Pediatric Echo a plus. Current BLS.
