General Function

An eCommerce Coordinator collaborates cross-functionally with technology, content providers, department leadership, retail operations, and others involved in eCommerce.

Reporting Relations

Accountable and Reports to: eCommerce Product Manager
Positions that Report to you: None

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Collaborates cross-functionally with technology, content providers, department leadership, retail operations, and others involved in eCommerce
  • Performs cost-benefit analysis to evaluate new operational improvements and technologies and provides recommendations
  • Coordinates merchandising enhancements on all eCommerce properties
  • Attends and participates in industry and company meetings
  • Participates in sales, marketing, and project planning meetings
  • Ensures all content is correct and items are available to purchase online
  • Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours

Secondary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Attends and participates in industry and company meetings
  • Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
  • Must be proficient using computer software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 - 3 years previous related work experience

Physical Requirements

  • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction
  • Must be physically able to perform physical and sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 20 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Worker Characteristics

  • Commitment to the Hy-Vee Mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with people in a friendly, professional manner
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Must have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Possess the ability to compose original correspondence, follow technical manuals, evaluate technical data and counsel or advise people

Working Conditions

  • The duties of this position are performed in both retail and office settings where there is weekly pressure to meet deadlines
  • Mainframe and/or Windows computer software and application development tools. PC, telephone and calculator

Financial Responsibility

  • Responsible for company assets including the purchase and maintenance of third party applications
