Dual Dealer/Supervisor

About the Role

A Blackjack Dealer is responsible for managing the blackjack tables and other table games, dealing cards, explaining game rules, and ensuring a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for players.

Responsibilities

• Deal cards to players and control the pace of the game.
• Clearly explain the rules to new players to ensure they understand how to play.
• Observe players' behavior and report any suspicious activities or concerns to the appropriate authorities.
• Collect bets, distribute winnings, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with players at all times to enhance their gaming experience.
• Handle cash and chips accurately and securely, ensuring the integrity of the game.
• Safeguard the cards and gaming equipment, ensuring all games are conducted fairly and according to casino regulations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Six (6) months of prior experience or dealer’s school required.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable company policies and gaming regulations.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time for the majority of the shift.
• Must be able to bend and reach across the gaming table.
• Must be able to use hands to deal and collect playing cards.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with players and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Basic math skills for handling bets and payouts accurately.
• Attention to detail to monitor gameplay and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and manage the physical demands of dealing cards.
• Familiarity with card game rules and strategies, along with knowledge of casino operations.
