Job Summary
We are now hiring a Director of Staff Development (DSD LPN/LVN) to join our healthcare team. The position offers a salary range of $110-120k per year.
About the Role
The Director of Staff Development (DSD LPN/LVN) plays a crucial role in ensuring staff receive the necessary training to deliver high-quality care to our residents. They provide orientation, educational, and learning opportunities in a supportive environment, monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with standards, and direct infection prevention and control programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide orientation, educational, and learning opportunities to nursing staff.
- Maintain quality care by monitoring staff activities and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and corporate standards.
- Direct the infection prevention and control program and oversee its activities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience providing direct care to multiple residents.
- A nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program.
- A current, unencumbered license to practice as LPN/LVN in the state.
- Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience.
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to long-term care.
Qualifications
- Must have a supervisory background.
- Experience with PointClickCare is a plus.
