About the role
You will identify and proactively address hazards and risks through assessments of SunEnergy1 and the Company’s fleet. The role involves administering and managing DOT Driver Qualification Files, DOT Drug/Alcohol Programs, preventive maintenance schedules, vehicle inspections, FMCSA Hours of Service standards, compliance of Driver-Logs, and NCOSHA/FEDOSHA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assign work activities according to given time frames and review the work of contracted services or internal staff members.
- Confer with departments to address vehicle needs and issues, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with safety standards.
- Schedule and maintain statistical reports, files, and records related to maintenance, repairs, depreciation, and mileage for various vehicles (e.g., OTR, Trailers, Forklifts).
- Submit and maintain documentation related to DOT FMCSA MCS1250, Clearinghouse, UCR, Motor Carrier, Insurance, and Bonds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree in facilities management, building, business, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years’ experience as a Maintenance and/or Fleet Manager/Supervisor.
- Knowledge of NCOSHA/FEDOSHA and related safety practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proficient computer skills.
- Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees.
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance according to the company’s schedule.
- Valid Driver License.
