Responsibilities

  • Aid the Transportation Compliance Manager in developing, implementing, standardizing, and managing the Company's Transportation Compliance Programs.
  • Support the DOT Compliance Manager in creating and executing standardized processes for Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screenings, DOT Physicals, Previous Employer Release of Information, etc.
  • Collaborate with Project Operations and Safety staff to investigate incidents, conduct root-cause analyses, and ensure compliance with Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and oversee proactive systems to maintain compliance with Federal and State DOT regulations.
  • Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Monitor and report on DOT driver hours and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
  • Prepare and distribute detailed reports related to driver Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, driver compliance, and other reports as needed.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Federal and State DOT, Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Working knowledge of DOT Letters of Interpretation and other Regulatory Guidance.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, capable of directing and achieving priorities, goals, and strategies with minimal supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret regulations and other regulatory documents.
  • Proficient in using computers and typical production software (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • GeoTab ELD experience is preferred.

  • Ability to work during normal operating hours and overtime as required.
