Responsibilities
- Aid the Transportation Compliance Manager in developing, implementing, standardizing, and managing the Company's Transportation Compliance Programs.
- Support the DOT Compliance Manager in creating and executing standardized processes for Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screenings, DOT Physicals, Previous Employer Release of Information, etc.
- Collaborate with Project Operations and Safety staff to investigate incidents, conduct root-cause analyses, and ensure compliance with Company and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and oversee proactive systems to maintain compliance with Federal and State DOT regulations.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal requirements.
- Monitor and report on DOT driver hours and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
- Prepare and distribute detailed reports related to driver Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, driver compliance, and other reports as needed.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Federal and State DOT, Health & Safety Regulations.
- Working knowledge of DOT Letters of Interpretation and other Regulatory Guidance.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, capable of directing and achieving priorities, goals, and strategies with minimal supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret regulations and other regulatory documents.
- Proficient in using computers and typical production software (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- GeoTab ELD experience is preferred.
