About the role
Vitalant is seeking a Lead Phlebotomist dedicated to making a positive difference. You will assist Vitalant's donor care team as a lead in creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donor volunteers. Most days you'll conduct a blood drive around town in one of our buses; other days you'll interact with donors at one of our local donation centers. Every day you will help save lives and have a vital impact on your community.
Schedule
Sunday - Saturday variable hours with 2 days off. Start Date September 14, 2026.
Pay
Base Pay $22.66 - $23.92 / Hour.

Responsibilities
- Function as an operational lead, supporting staff with interviewing and phlebotomy processes, and providing coaching when needed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for blood drive coordinators on-site
- Coordinate the set up and breakdown of equipment for mobile blood drives
- Ensure the comfort and information of blood donors during phlebotomy process
- Assist the Manager or Supervisor in providing direction and/or supervision of Donor Care Technicians, providing input for employee performance evaluations
- Drive company vehicles including vans, buses to drive sites
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to complete and pass CDL license program
- Ability to travel as required
- Successful completion of supervisory training program within six months
Qualifications
- Two years phlebotomy experience preferred
