About the role

The Document Control Specialist will operate in a team environment to support document controls within a large public works construction program of a public healthcare facility. This is an outstanding opportunity to bring your specialized Document Control expertise to an industry leading team.

Responsibilities

  • Aid project managers in the preparation of change orders, notices to proceed, requests for quotation, and other general correspondence.
  • Aid project managers in the processing of payment requests, change orders, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Aid project managers with meeting minutes, project status update entries, and payment, change order, RFI, and submittal logs.
  • Establish and maintain a project document filing system in accordance with established client procedures.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with established client procedures and forms.
  • Manage all documents for all projects in the project management system running parallel to client's document control software.
  • Enter and track Submittals, RFI's, pending change order, change orders, and invoices that were reviewed and/or prepared by Cost Control Manager and Project Managers.
  • Document Controller maintains all logs.
  • Establish and maintain hard file systems.

Requirements

This position can work on a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off. The position allows for work from home one day per week. All other days of the week, the position is expected to report to the field office trailers at the project site in Torrance, CA.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum ten (10) years of experience providing document control services in the construction field.
  • Must be proficient in using MS Office software.
  • Knowledge of Expedition/CM13, e-Builder, and other similar PMIS systems.

Pay

The salary range for this full-time role is $57,400.00-$72,733.34 per year.

Schedule
