Description

Queens Community House is seeking volunteers for their Friendly Visiting Program.

Responsibilities

• Pairs homebound older adults with caring volunteers for weekly visits
• Fosters meaningful connections and reduces isolation and loneliness in the community
• Develops a meaningful friendship with the older adult
• Discusses shared interests, learns/teaches new skills, reads books, learns technology, and more

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Commit to at least 6 months of volunteering
• Complete a background check
• Provide 2 non-familial references
