Finance Committee Volunteer

About the role

Dedicated volunteers are needed to support the finance committee at Girls Inc. of Durham. The Finance Committee volunteers commit to promoting the programs and services which support and guide girls, teens and young mothers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out the financial planning necessary for the operation of the agency
• Be familiar with the long range plan of the agency and its mission
• Work closely with the Events committee in setting financial goals in keeping with the needs of the agency
• Work closely with the Executive committee in the preparation of the budget submissions to funding bodies; budgets and ventures should be planned with that in mind and reflect a public image appropriate to Girls Incorporated of Durham

Requirements

• Over “age of majority” in province of opportunity
• Experience in a financial role
