What Will You Be Doing

You are responsible for reviewing patient account open balances, assigning/reviewing ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes to outpatient medical records, and handling appeal denials as needed to collect delinquent balances.

What Will You Need To Succeed

  • 1-2 DME Collection experience
  • 2-3 years of healthcare billing and coding support experience within Home Care Services preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use various computer programs and applications, including EMR/EHR
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
  • Medical Biller/Coder certification highly desired

Requirements

We are looking for a DME Collection Specialist with 1-2 years of DME Collection experience and 2-3 years of healthcare billing and coding support experience within Home Care Services. Preferred qualifications include effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to use various computer programs and applications, including EMR/EHR, ability to self-motivate and work independently, ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively, and bilingual Spanish proficiency. A Medical Biller/Coder certification is highly desired.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes, and experience in managing patient accounts and handling appeal denials. They should also be able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Skills

Strong communication skills, proficiency in using various computer programs and applications, including EMR/EHR, and a proven track record in healthcare billing and coding are essential. Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus.
