Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, blood, and urine samples using approved techniques and equipment.
  • Accession patient and test information accurately into the Care 360 system.
  • Process and prepare all types of specimens for testing.
  • Obtain billing information from patients and ICD-10 diagnosis information from clients as needed.
  • Communicate clearly, courteously, and professionally with internal teams, patients, and external customers.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of venipuncture techniques using vacutainer needles, butterfly devices, safety needles, and syringes.
  • Proven ability to collect blood specimens from patients of all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
  • Ability to manage a high patient volume efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with all DLO departments and clients.
  • Proficiency in basic computer use, including keyboarding and data entry.

Special Requirements

  • Flexibility with your schedule—occasional early starts or late stays may be required to meet patient or client needs.
  • Willingness to travel or work at different locations if business needs change.
  • Ability to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items (up to 40 lbs occasionally, with assistance for heavier items).
  • Comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform hands-on, repetitive tasks with good attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using a computer and phone regularly.
  • Good hand coordination and steady movements.
  • Ability to move throughout the day, including walking, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
