About the role
The Department of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School at Old Dominion University (EVMS-ODOU) invites applications for the position of Division Chief of Sleep Medicine. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated academic clinician-educator to provide leadership to a growing division within a dynamic and collaborative academic medical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership in clinical operations, mentor residents, fellows, and faculty, and contribute meaningfully to medical education across undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Direct and enhance the educational mission, including leadership of the Sleep Medicine Fellowship.
- Oversee clinical activities and ensure high-quality, patient-centered sleep care.
- Participate in scholarly activity consistent with academic rank and interests.
Requirements
- MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Sleep Medicine.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in an academic or academic-affiliated setting.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Demonstrated commitment to education, clinical excellence, and academic leadership.
- Experience with fellowship training and curriculum development is highly desirable.
Qualifications
