Diving Coach

About the role

Responsible for training and guiding WJCC divers. Must work with divers and athletic departments from all three high schools collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Teach divers the proper techniques for diving, including takeoff, in-flight maneuvers, and water entry
• Conduct training sessions to improve divers' strength, flexibility, and diving skills
• Develop individualized training plans based on the abilities and goals of each diver
• Monitor divers during practices and competitions to ensure safety
• Provide feedback and constructive criticism to help divers improve their performance
• Stay updated on rules and regulations of diving and VHSL
• Communicate with divers, parents, and other coaches about training and competition schedules, divers' progress, and any issues that arise
