About the role
The District Manager at ThompsonGas is responsible for overseeing operations within their assigned district, ensuring high levels of customer service, operational effectiveness, employee productivity, and profitability. They are also involved in all aspects of district purchasing and expenditures.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with safety codes and policies including servicing and repairing company vehicles; wearing proper safety equipment; and ensuring customer installations are safe and compliant with state and federal regulations.
- Develops and implements plans for achieving long-term customer growth and financial goals.
- Ensures accurate, timely, and error-free daily, weekly, and monthly work processes and reporting.
- Plans, directs, and manages staffing and development of employees by effectively communicating company strategic goals.
- Controls operating expenses by monitoring employee productivity through distribution system, service scheduling, etc., to manage and optimize personnel and vehicle expenses.
- Oversees compliance regarding cash control, inventory management, documentation requirements, and audit procedures.
- Proactively involves in all District purchasing and expenditures.
Requirements
- A high school diploma is required, with a college degree preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in the propane industry, with some managing employees.
- Active knowledge of DOT standards and expectations.
- Active CDL is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and time management skills.
