About the role
This role is the key link between the Director of Operations and the General Managers, by providing leadership, coaching, and operational support to a designated group of McDonald's restaurants.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coach General Managers and restaurant management teams.
- Build bench strength and succession plans for all key positions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular restaurant visits, performance reviews, and development discussions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and people practices.
- Promote a positive culture focused on engagement, accountability, and recognition.
- Ensure execution of McDonald's standards for Quality, Service & Cleanliness.
- Maintain and monitor restaurant performance and implement action plans to drive results.
- Identify operational opportunities and implement action plans to improve performance.
- Champion food safety, customer experience, and operational consistency.
- Analyze restaurant financial results and key performance indicators.
- Develop strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and guest counts.
- Manage labor, controllable costs, and restaurant profitability by partnering with General Managers to achieve targets.
- Hold General Managers accountable for achieving operational and financial goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to execute business initiatives, growth strategies, and vision planning.
- Lead change effectively and drive organizational priorities.
- Promote a culture built on respect, teamwork, and continuous development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of multi-unit restaurant leadership experience.
- A genuine passion for People and Culture.
- Availability that also meets the needs of the business (will include some nights and weekends).
- Ability to read and understand a Profit & Loss statement.
- Proven ability to lead through others and develop high-performing teams.
- A strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial management, and people development.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and travel between restaurant locations.
- McDonald's experience preferred; exceptional multi-unit leaders from other brands will be considered.
