Department Manager
Requirements
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers have a fast, accurate, and friendly experience on every visit. Some managers also lead Departments. These managers’ responsibilities may include:
- Managing assigned Systems, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management
- Setting goals
- Delegating tasks to their teams
- Following up
- Reporting results to their teams and other managers
Responsibilities
The Guest Service Department Manager’s responsibilities may include:
- Ensuring that Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience
- Executing effective sales promotions
- Training service staff in service procedures
- Organizing the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service
The Kitchen Department Manager’s responsibilities may include:
- Ensuring the restaurant delivers quick, high-quality food to customers
- Maintaining food safety
- Controlling food costs
- Training kitchen staff in production procedures, including new items added to the menu
The People Department Manager’s responsibilities may include:
- Hiring qualified Crew and training them effectively
- Scheduling Crew to meet restaurant sales and profit goals
- Ensuring Crew gets off to a good start and is recognized and motivated throughout their time working there
Qualifications
Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
We're looking for positive team players with flexible schedules who like to have fun and the passion to work in the famously fast-paced McDonald's environment.
You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our franchise-owned and operated restaurants.
