Distribution Center Supervisor - Weekend 2nd Shift (Kansas City, MO)

About the role

The Distribution Center Supervisor reports to the Distribution Center Shift Manager and works second shift from Sunday through Saturday, 6:00pm-6:30am. This position plays a key role in leading the picking, packing, planning, and order processing within the Distribution Centers first shift.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the coordination and management of the Distribution Center’s nightly operations
• Manage and oversee all nightly picking, packing and shipping procedures
• Provide consistent, transparent, in-the-moment coaching, and actionable feedback to the team to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
• Partners with management team to sustain workplace health and safety requirements according to OSHA regulations and the Company safety
• Directly manages employees in the Distribution Center’s second shift
• Ensures workflow and processes are to maximum efficiencies for business necessity
• Lead, guide and coach team to accomplish common goals
• Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management
• Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance
• Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations
• Adheres to local, state and federal laws
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management
• Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

Must have a positive attitude and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
