About the Role
As a Distribution Center Operations Supervisor, you will lead a team of up to 40 non-exempt colleagues in CVS Health's state-of-the-art distribution facility. This includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area to achieve performance goals and metrics. You will oversee order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping of store orders while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and assigning work to new hires.
- Ensuring employees have the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to complete tasks successfully.
- Monitoring and adjusting resources to achieve daily production and delivery goals.
- Balancing workloads by tracking progress throughout the day to meet volume targets by projected deadlines.
- Monitoring employee performance to ensure quality and quantity standards are met or exceeded.
- Conducting staff meetings and verifying that daily worksheets are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Providing ongoing training and retraining to prepare employees to meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Utilizing reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems during the workday.
- Communicating effectively across all levels and analyzing information to make sound business decisions.
- Building high-performance teams while engaging and inspiring colleagues.
- Promoting and reinforcing safety and security awareness and compliance among all colleagues.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of prior supervisory or group-leading experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office.
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish and/or Creole).
- Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Minimum 2 years of prior supervisory experience in an automated facility.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Background in Six Sigma production techniques.
Schedule
- Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM.
- Must be available to work an average of 12 hours per day, with flexibility to support both day and evening operations.
- Weekend and extended-hour availability required based on operational demands.
- Flexibility in working hours during the initial training period.
Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $43,888.00 - $85,068.00 annually. This range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for positions in this job grade. The actual base salary offer will depend on factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant considerations. This position is also eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range.
