About the Role
Reporting to the Distribution Center Manager, the Distribution Center Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations, including drivers, deliveries, staff supervision, and warehouse maintenance. This role involves scheduling deliveries, coordinating routes, recruiting drivers, maintaining vehicle logs, and ensuring warehouse cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff, communicating performance expectations and holding the team accountable through coaching and disciplinary actions.
- Drive organizational effectiveness and service excellence by developing processes, leading teams, and fostering a motivated work environment.
- Interview, hire, schedule, assign work to, and evaluate staff performance.
- Ensure adequate daily staffing levels.
- Coordinate with Territory Owner-Associates on daily routing requirements.
- Manage material flow in and out of the warehouse using the Kendall business system.
- Maintain Direct Through Stock processes and customer requirements.
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness for optimal product flow and accessibility.
- Research shipping/receiving discrepancies.
- Train other associates on proper procedures.
- Perform warehouse activities such as order picking, packing, receiving, restocking, and inventory cycle counting.
- Accurately identify, count, and manage inventory in assigned areas.
- Participate in general warehouse housekeeping.
- Load and unload trucks according to established procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements
- 3 years’ experience working in warehouse operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Experience using standard warehouse equipment, including bar code scanners, printers, and tools/machines/vehicles.
- Basic math and reasoning skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and shift priorities.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels with discretion for sensitive information.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
- Ability to lift/move/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, reach, twist, and climb for up to 8 hours daily.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and use step ladders.
Work environment includes exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels typical of a distribution center.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in distribution/warehouse supervision, lead, or management role.
- Bachelor’s degree in distribution, supply chain, business, or a related field.
