About the role
Able to direct and service customer call-ins and dispatch drivers as needed. Prepares reports, utilizes a computer-based ticketing system, and reports to the Field Supervisor and/or District Manager.
Responsibilities
- After initial training, take call-ins from customers, dispatch them appropriately, and record turned-in loads.
- Correct issues with driver’s logs in the Xata application.
- Schedule drivers/trucks to meter provings and trucks.
- Sort run tickets, DOT logs, and other office paperwork.
- Hand-enter loads called in, loads dispatched to drivers, and any other required dispatch data using a computer.
- Look up lease numbers, tank numbers, leases by name, operator number, barrel flow by destination, tickets by ticket number, and by destination.
- Stay up to date with lease severances relating to State Oil and Gas Boards approval to haul.
- Prepare morning reports related to over 48 hours, dropped loads, loads hauled, and any other reports related to dispatch or company business.
- Track and file reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Interact extensively with customers regarding call-ins, coordinate leases to be hauled in a timely manner, ensure special instructions about leases are recorded and disseminated, and resolve disputes over tickets.
- Perform other duties as assigned and relevant to the operations of the company.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience interacting with the public, management, marketing, and drivers.
- Great customer and personal relations skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Basic math, keyboard skills, and knowledge of office procedures with responsible work habits.
- Ability to use a 10-key calculator, multi-line telephone system, copy, fax machines, and computers.
- Conceptual thinking, strong planning, coordinating, problem-solving skills, and multitasking abilities.
- Office environment with low physical activity; some light lifting.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment testing.
