About the role
A Part-time Dispatcher coordinates bus operations, ensuring timely routes and clear communication with drivers and monitors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee scheduling and routing of buses
- Counsel drivers on operations and safety
- Handle communication via phone and radio
- Address driver and customer issues promptly
- Manage charter reservations and payroll processing
- Resolve drop-off and pick-up problems
- Perform clerical duties and assist with daily operations
- Support special projects as needed
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of radio dispatch equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Computer literacy
- Previous dispatch or driver experience
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical exams
