Responsibilities and Duties for Dispatchers
- Reports directly to the Regional Community Training Liaison
- Answering calls within 30 seconds from individuals, community partners, and National suicide call center.
- Dispatching mobile crisis responders to various locations
- Distributing information to callers/staff about community resources as needed
- Collaboration with community partners as needed
- Documenting information in the Call Center data platform, electronic health record, or other required data collection entities
- Maintain phone availability for consultation/response
- Review documentation to assist with maintaining compliance with adherence to program standards
- Review shift reports/pass down information
- Model appropriate levels of professionalism
- Afford assistance with coordination of linkage to community resources
- Communicate needs of the program to supervisor
- QMHP preferred, state Certified Peer Specialist, EMS, or previous dispatch experience
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record at time of hire and continuously thereafter.
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be self-motivated and able to work remotely, Reliable internet connectivity is required
- Must be able to use a computer and enter information in a clear and concise manner
- Must be able to stay calm and focused during a crisis
- Must be able to use critical thinking and problem solve
