Overview

Dispatchers are responsible for scheduling delivery routes, monitoring deliveries, and communicating with the couriers while delivering our products to customers and pharmacy personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow SOFIE’s procedures regarding radiation safety and delivering radioactive drugs to customers.
  • Assist in packaging products for delivery, unpacking, and checking canisters.
  • Lift up to 50lbs; frequent standing, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking.
  • Complete paperwork, DOT, and data entry accurately and completely; understand the importance of detail and accuracy.
  • Check internal couriers during dose deliveries.
  • Audit external couriers' compliance with DOT regulations and SOFIE policies.
  • Effectively communicate with external courier companies.
  • Track dose delivery to the destination and provide accurate and timely ETA updates to pharmacy personnel.
  • Ensure fleet vehicles are properly maintained, all repairs are completed, and provide a monthly report to the Site Manager and Fleet & Logistics Manager.
  • Work closely and communicate (both verbal and written) with all departments: production, pharmacy, and logistics.
  • Flexibly adapt to changes in schedules, runs, etc., due to production changes, inclement weather, or personnel shortages.
  • Follow up with drivers on deliveries.
  • Take deliveries if operational need arises.
  • Serve as backup to the Courier Supervisor when unavailable.
  • Maintain assigned reports including monthly trip reports, weekly late dose reports, mileage, and maintenance reports.
  • Provide accurate and detailed reporting of incidents (personnel, accidents, customer service) to the site manager.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate safe/efficient driving skills.
  • Proficient in English with good communication skills.
  • Adhere to and enforce all security procedures.
  • Pass a background check and substance abuse screen.
  • Work various shifts, including early AM, weekends, and holidays.
  • 2-3 years of driving experience throughout the tri-state areas.
  • Clean driver’s license.
  • Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately.
  • Work calmly and effectively under stress; experience in problem-solving and strong customer service skills.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office, ability to write simple correspondence, data entry, email, and basic computer skills including MapQuest.

  • Dependable and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of shipping and handling requirements.
  • Punctual.
  • Able to find locations based on address using GPS.
