Responsibilities
- Answer inbound service calls and collect complete details about customer concerns, locations, and scheduling needs.
- Assign work orders to field technicians based on urgency, availability, and route efficiency.
- Manage and adjust daily schedules to maintain timely response and effective coverage throughout the workday.
- Track active jobs, communicate status updates, and keep both customers and technicians informed of changes or delays.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and make prompt decisions when new priorities arise.
- Maintain accurate service records, call notes, and dispatch documentation in company systems.
- Deliver courteous, detail-oriented support during every customer interaction to promote a positive service experience.
- Cook up logistics between office staff and field teams to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of dispatching experience, ideally within plumbing, construction, service, or a related field environment.
- Strong background in customer service, including handling calls and responding professionally to service inquiries.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relay information accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Sound decision-making skills in a fast-paced setting with changing demands.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, dispatch systems, and computer-aided dispatch tools.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when entering information and maintaining records.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team-oriented workplace.
