Dispatcher

We are looking for a detail-oriented Dispatcher to support daily transportation operations in North Charleston, South Carolina. The position focuses on keeping deliveries organized, communicating updates clearly, and helping ensure service runs smoothly from pickup through final destination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation schedules by assigning drivers, organizing routes, and adjusting plans as operational needs change.
• Communicate with drivers throughout the day to provide instructions, confirm status updates, and address delivery or pickup issues promptly.
• Monitor active shipments and keep customers informed of timing, delays, and service updates with professionalism and accuracy.
• Work closely with logistics and operations teams to maintain efficient ground transportation coverage and support on-time service.
• Resolve service concerns by identifying issues quickly, gathering the necessary details, and following through on appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, transportation details, and communication logs to support smooth day-to-day operations.
• Assist with scheduling changes, load coordination, and other transportation-related tasks needed to keep workflows on track.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dispatch, transportation coordination, logistics, or a related operations environment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Working knowledge of ground transportation processes and daily dispatch operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at once while staying organized in a fast-moving setting.
• Comfortable tracking details, updating schedules, and responding quickly to changing transportation needs.
• Dependable problem-solving skills and sound judgment when handling service disruptions or scheduling conflicts.
• Proficiency with standard office and dispatch-related systems used to document activity and share updates.
