Responsibilities
- Dispatch and control Drivers throughout the day.
- Maintain daily volume requirements by making necessary adjustments.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully over the phone/radio, deescalating tense situations.
- Operate calmly and decisively in a fast-paced, potentially high-stress environment.
- Solve problems promptly while building lasting business relationships with customers and drivers.
- Affordable travel times and optimal plant locations for job site services.
- Accurately and promptly input orders to customer specifications for delivery.
- Verify and ensure accurate delivery and product information on orders before delivery.
- Handle high call volumes, multitasking with plants, drivers, and office staff.
- Coordinate Driver timekeeping functions, including receiving and documenting time off requests.
- Maintain Driver time off schedules respecting sick time and personal days.
- Daily review of Driver timecards, delivery time reports, and time entry/tracking.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years customer service experience preferred.
- A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Prior dispatch experience and scheduling skills preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills, including typing and internet navigation.
Qualifications
Must be familiar with delivery areas and able to assist drivers in locating job sites.
