Dispatcher

About the role

The dispatcher will schedule drivers to appropriate flights for IAH airport and professionally interact with customers using multiple modes of communication in real time. This position requires multitasking and coordination in a loud environment and offers a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper transmission of information regarding production and flight programs using computer software.
• Enter all necessary information into the computer system upon receipt of client orders (e.g., email, fax) following contractual procedures.
• Confirm flight after-control details.
• Maintain business relationships with clients.
• Control delivery notes.
• Ensure maintenance of equipment and premises.
• Comply with safety rules, regulations, and all applicable requirements related to product and service quality, environmental standards, food safety, and health and safety.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment by preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, eliminating hazards, and reducing risks.
• Follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions.
• Satisfactory and punctual attendance is expected.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Previous experience as a dispatcher preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
