Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day route operations and reports to the Dispatch Supervisors.
• Communicates with drivers and clients daily.
• Organizes and conducts activities to ensure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance.
• Tracks and reports sign-in/sign-out times, ensures routes are timely, and communicates service issues to supervisors or managers.
• Takes client calls and communicates issues with drivers and supervisors or managers as needed.
• Maintains radio, telephone, and on-road communications for quality assurance.
• Influences positive employee morale and quality customer service.
• Manages driver sign-ins and sign-outs daily.
• Sets up trips for drivers to ensure adequate trip distribution across all assigned routes.
• Maintains oversight of daily system performance.
• Analyzes and reviews operating performance.
• Notices and communicates closed or delayed routes to supervisors and managers as necessary.

Qualifications

• One (1) year previous Dispatcher experience preferred.
• Two (2) years of Customer Service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Spare Dispatch software is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• High customer service commitment.
• Professional phone manner.
• Knowledge of the service area is a plus.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $23.50/hour
