Dispatcher

Job Type Full-time Description GardenCore is seeking a Dispatcher that will be responsible for the dispatch function, coordinating with sales department, shipping, receiving, customer, delivery truck services and the logistics operations. Job Responsibilities Prepare invoices, delivery tickets and related shipping documentsPlan effective delivery routes and assign drivers for scheduled deliveriesWork closely with customer service to understand the product availability and logistic issues of specific projectsTake orders from customers and get their order out on timeInspect all shipping department equipment to ensure that they are in working orderCheck and review all orders assigned before they are shipped against delivery ticketsCoordinate deliveries with company truck drivers and external trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of materials to customersWork closely with independent truck drivers to ensure pick-up and delivery times, load weight compliance and secure loadsPrepare and review loading/unloading, daily shipping reports and delivery logsSubmit daily invoicing to A/P once deliveries are dispatchedOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience in related functionAt least 1 year of related experienceComputer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookExcellent mathematical and communication skillsMay require occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.Endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing and pullingWalking and standing for long periods of time Compensation The hourly pay rate is $17.50 per hour.401(k) plan / group retirement savings programShort-term and long-term disability benefitsLife insuranceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off Paid holiday What GardenCore Offers You Highly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion About GardenCore GardenCore is a leading U.S. manufacturer of lawn and garden consumables, offering a broad portfolio of mulch, soil, stone, and lime products.
