Dispatcher

About the role

We are seeking a Service Dispatcher to manage a high-paced, heavy workload environment. The role involves assigning work orders to technicians, dispatching them for heavy equipment repairs, and maintaining communication with both customers and technicians throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an efficient workload by managing open jobs and tracking work orders from start to finish.
• Review work orders before billing and provide necessary debriefs to technicians.
• Create and maintain rental contracts as required.
• Verify the accuracy of timecards and allocate labor times appropriately.
• Collaborate with other departments and manage preventative maintenance workloads.

Requirements

• A quick thinker with a calm disposition.
• Keen orientation to detail and neat, organized work habits.
• Prioritization and follow-through on daily tasks and projects.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of heavy machinery is a plus.
• Familiarity with geographical areas in/around Wilson, Raleigh, Durham, etc.
• Previous dispatching experience with service technicians is preferred.
