Dispatch Coordinator

What You’ll Be Doing

• Cook up and schedule daily deliveries and pickups.
• Keep an eye on delivery routes and track driver progress.
• Handle any delivery issues, delays, or schedule changes.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal staff.
• Update dispatch schedules and keep accurate records.
• Answer customer inquiries about delivery status and service requests.
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to prepare and dispatch orders.
• Make sure drivers have all necessary paperwork, route information, and equipment.
• Track and report delivery performance, delays, and operational issues.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation procedures.
• Assist with administrative tasks like filing, data entry, and reporting.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of dispatch, logistics, transportation, or customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing demands.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with dispatch/logistics software.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
• Knowledge of routing and scheduling practices.
• Experience with GPS tracking and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Positive relationships with customers, drivers, and team members.
