About the Role

Under general direction, provides leadership for one or more field office units. Ensures services are delivered in compliance with laws, policies, and procedures governing the Disability Insurance Program. Emphasizes program integrity and proper duration control. Develops and maintains staff to ensure proper processing of workload while operating within budgetary limitations. Supports continuous capacity building for all unit staff. Encourages open, two-way communication. Assists in the maintenance of a marketing program, which includes educating and partnering with program customers. Has knowledge of the office budget processes. Complies with all system security, internal control, and employee safety requirements. May serve as office manager in the manager’s absence. Acts as a coach and role model to members of the management team and to all staff. Supports the Branch and Department vision, mission, values, and goals.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility may apply. SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority.

Pay

$6,525.00 - $8,170.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.

Schedule

  • Work Shift: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Work Week: Monday - Friday
  • Telework: Hybrid (amount of telework is at the discretion of the department and subject to change as business needs arise)
