Position Details

THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.

Duties

  • Provides leadership for one or more field office units.
  • Ensures services are delivered in compliance with laws, policies, and procedures governing the Disability Insurance Program.
  • Emphasizes program integrity and proper duration control.
  • Develops and maintains staff to ensure proper processing of workload while operating within budgetary limitations.
  • Supports continuous capacity building for all unit staff.
  • Encourages open, two-way, communication.
  • Supports the Branch and Department vision, mission, values, and goals.

Qualifications

Under general direction, provides leadership for one or more field office units. Ensures services are delivered in compliance with laws, policies, and procedures governing the Disability Insurance Program. Emphasizes program integrity and proper duration control. Develops and maintains staff to ensure proper processing of workload while operating within budgetary limitations. Supports continuous capacity building for all unit staff. Encourages open, two-way, communication. Assists in the maintenance of a marketing program, which includes educating and partnering with program customers. Has knowledge of the office budget processes. Complies with all system security, internal control, and employee safety requirements. May serve as office manager in the manager’s absence. Acts a coach and role model to members of the management team and to all staff. Supports the Branch and Department vision, mission, values, and goals.

Salary and Benefits

$6,525.00 - $8,170.00

Work Schedule

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
